V16 - Total Textures "Architectural Showroom"
It has been nearly 2 years since the last Total Texture Collection was released.
After popluar demand and having such a positive response from the upgrades we decided it was about time to reopen the Total Texture Collection series.
Our NEW Total Texture collection is full of great Showroom Textures for really finishing those Architectural renders to the highest standards with as little effort as possible. As with all Total Texture Collections, the NEW DVD now contains 134 Texture Maps comprising of over 545 individual, hand crafted texture maps which are all fully tileable. Each texture has been hand crafted from 100% original photography, made seamless where required, and each having their own unique bump & specular map included. Each texture is also of course totally flexible and can be used in many projects - architectural or otherwise.

Welcome to Issue 37! This month, on the back of our Beginner’s Guide to ZBrush tutorial series, we’ve gone ZBrush crazy! Not only are we kicking off one brand new 9-part ZBrush tutorial series for you this month, but we are also introducing a new series where we’ll feature 2 artists every month ‘speed sculpting’ from a brief set by 3DCreative, and we’ll show their tutorials covering the stages of creation – some even with accompanying movies, courtesy of the artists!
But before I get carried away with that, let me first tell you a little about the new ZBrush tutorial series – “ZBrush Character Creation”. This is a fantastic series which is being created by the most amazing ZBrush Sculptor, Rafael Ghencev. You only have to take a look at his website to see the incredible talents of this artist, and we’re lucky enough to have him working with us over the next 9 months on a great tutorial series where each month he will take a generic, clean head mesh and transform it into one of our detailed character themes – this month we feature an old/gaunt man. Future topics will get progressively more complex and bizarre, as we move on to an obese man next month, and the tutorial series will end with a Frankenstein character. And not only is he sculpting these characters, he’s also texturing them!

[ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط] Welcome to
Issue 36 – August 2008. You’ll discover this month that we’re going to witness the finale of our Beginners Guide to ZBrush tutorial series. But we’re certainly going out on a high with this one, as Wayne Robson has sneakily been filming the progress of his tutorial in a dark cupboard somewhere in the UK, and he posted the movie to us last week for me to give away to you guys – for free – for all of you who’ve been following the ZBrush series! See page 92 for the final instalment from Wayne for this series, and click on the “View Movie” download icon to get your mitts on the movie which accompanies this fantastic series. And as one series ends, another tutorial series begins – this time in the form of a mega 6-part tutorial series covering the complete creation of an aged and weathered scene, specialising in texturing and lighting! Richard Tilbury kicks off this new series with the first of 6 parts on the ‘importance of references’ (page 86). Parts 1 – 3 are designed for artists to follow using any software versions, and parts 4 – 6 will be split up into our favourite 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, LightWave and Softimage XSI versions for some interesting and varied results from each of our talented tutorial artists.
We will welcome back some old faces for Cinema 4D and XSI versions of this series, and we’ll introduce some new faces for both Maya and LightWave, so stay tuned over the next 6 months to follow the complete creation of an aged and weathered scene! In fact, why not grab yourselves a 6-month subscription today, to make sure you don’t miss out on any of this new series? You’ll save money and learn how to create a 3D image from scratch, all over the course of just 6 months. What more can you ask for?! Enjoy this month’s issue!

Particle expressions are a way of using MEL (Maya-Embedded Language) to form and control relationships between particle and object attributes over time. Visual effects animators rely on expressions to create a variety of complex motion and behavior that is impossible to create using other dynamics techniques. This lecture will show you how to tap into the power of expressions by going over the basic types of expressions and how to generate them. In addition, it will introduce you to different methods for creating and utilizing custom particle attributes for maximum effect.
